With Gold Training's Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations you will develop real the world skills for a sought after multi-skilled operator. Upon completion of all components of this qualification (including the completion and return of the log book to Gold Training), participants will also receive their Surface Coal Mine Safety Skill Set, otherwise known as the Standard 11 which are the competencies required for access to sites in Queensland. There are no formal entry requirements, however, it is preferred that participants display initiative and have some experience or interest in a career within the resources industry. This qualification can compliment and enhance existing knowledge and is a great bridging course to prepare participants for a career in mining or to improve their knowledge and skills to take the next step in their mining or civil career.

Jobs & Skills WA (WA Traineeships) As Western Australia's economy grows, the outlook for jobs is constantly changing. Jobs & Skills WA is the way the State Government prioritises investment in training to focus on courses that equip people to take up jobs that are or will be in high demand, and in the services provided to support people to achieve successful outcomes. Funding is available to new workers who meet the eligibility criteria and are employed as apprentices/trainees in priority industry qualifications.
