What is the Higher Level Skills program?
The Higher Level Skills program provides eligible individuals with access to a subsidised training place in selected Certificate IV level or above qualifications and priority skill sets.
The principal aim is to help individuals gain the higher-level skills required to secure empolyment or career advancement in a priority industry or transition to university to continue their studies.

Do I need to contribute to the cost of training?
Students undertaking Certificate IV level training are required to contribute to the cost of their training through a co-contribution fee. The amount of $50.00 (concessional) and $100.00 (non-concessional) is payable on enrolment. Further details of how this figure is distributed by each unit of study are available below.

The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training provides funding for one Higher Level Skills funded qualification per eligible participant. This means, if eligible, once you complete a Higher Level Skills funded qualification you will no longer be eligible for funding under this vocational education model.
